L. NAZARETH TWP., Pa. – Kitchen Magic, a Lower Nazareth Township-based company, has added a computer-aided machine to boost productivity.
“The manufacturing upgrade increases efficiency, streamlines operations and reduces costs,” said James Mayers, of Kitchen Magic.
The kitchen remodeling company said in a statement that its new computer numerical control (CNC) machine will help serve a market for projects that has grown by more than 20% since the COVID-19 pandemic started in 2020.
“Demand was unprecedented once we reopened after the mandated Pennsylvania manufacturing shutdown,” Mayers said in a statement.
Kitchen Magic, based at 4243 Lonat Drive in Lower Nazareth, just east of Route 191, had two CNC machines already for making doors. The new model will be for making cabinets.
Kitchen Magic’s cabinetry will still be assembled by hand, but the new machine will make the cabinet-cutting process more efficient. That, according to the company, will shorten customer wait times.
The company did not disclose the cost of the new device. CNC machining uses computer software to increase the efficiency and accuracy of manufacturing. Automating shop procedures leads to higher productivity, according to Kitchen Magic’s statement.
Family-owned Kitchen Magic has been in operation since 1979 It serves customers in seven states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island and Delaware.
