NEW YORK (AP) _ ABM Industries Inc. (ABM) on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $56 million.
The New York-based company said it had net income of 83 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 75 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 40 cents per share.
The provider of cleaning and other maintenance services for commercial buildings, hospitals and airports posted revenue of $1.39 billion in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.43 billion.
ABM Industries shares have fallen roughly 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $36.65, a drop of almost 2% in the last 12 months.
