Zagreb share indices drop, Ericsson Nikola Tesla paces blue-chip losers
ZAGREB (Croatia), September 4 (SeeNews) – The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) lost ground on Friday, with telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] leading the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s stocks shed 3.79% to a closing price of 1,270 kuna, ZSE data showed.
At the other end, telecommunication services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] paced the blue-chip winners, closing 2.04% higher at 5.0 kuna.
Six of the ten blue chips on the ZSE fell on Friday, two rose, and two closed flat.
Blue-chip firm Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] closed 1.18% lower at 168 kuna, generating the single largest portion of Friday’s turnover – of 2.3 million kuna.
The ZSE’s total trading turnover rose to 9.1 million kuna ($1.4 million/1.2 million euro) on Friday from 3.8 million kuna on Thursday.
The bourse’s 25-share benchmark CROBEX index fell 0.98% to 1,608.77 on Friday after closing flat on Thursday.
The narrower of the ZSE’s two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dropped 1.10% to 993.12 after adding 0.12% on Thursday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed 0.08% higher at 112.0550.
